Free? - Is Marieur.com really free? How can you afford to do that?
Yes, membership and usage of this site as it currently exists is free. We believe that we can make enough from advertising to pay for the running of the site.
In the future we may add premium services and will evaluate the membership policy at that time. But we hope to keep this site free.
Marieur - What's with than name?
Marieur is French for "matchmaker". Basically, good domain names are difficult to find and we hope "marieur" is easy enough to remember.
Mature Adults - is what the headline says. So how do you classify members as "mature adults"?
We don't have a hard policy about the age of members, but the site is directed at those past or nearing 50th birthday.
Suffice to say that we will discourage teenagers.
What are all those '\' things in my profile text fields?
Another bug .. that the developer promised to fix. Sorry, I haven't figured any way to delete them .. and you get a new one every time you edit you profile. You can delete some, but one will always be there .. sort of like the IRS.
